Hair Cuttery Family of Brands announces the release of two new mobile apps to help both guests and stylists track and manage their appointments. The apps are available on iOS and Android platforms.
The Stylist App
The My HCB Access app gives stylists an entrepreneurial edge. With access to the salon’s daily and weekly performance metrics, stylists can now conduct “what if ” analyses, calculating their earnings based on guest count, home hair care sales, referrals, and rebooks. The app also links to training modules and communication channels.
Prior to the launch, salon teams relied on backroom posters and monthly town halls to track earnings and hear the latest news from the support center. Now, salon professionals get push notifications and alerts any time there are important updates. Leaders at Hair Guttery Family of Brands realized that if they could get this information into each stylist’s hand, the company could motivate stylists in new and uncharted ways, driving increased commissions while achieving even higher revenue.
A highly graphic platform, the My HCBAccess app caters to visual thinkers and creative individuals, making it an effective tool for reaching the company’s 5,000+ stylists. By enabling push notifications and alerts, Hair Cuttery and Bubbles salons can notify teams about pressing updates and important action items. There’s a way to store documents and link to third-party websites as well. The app helps salon pros visualize their earnings with images of shampoo bottles that fill up as they service guests and reach their commission-based goals.

The Guest App
The second new app allows guests to use their phone to book online appointments with their preferred stylist, including scheduling multiple services at a time. Guests can search for different salons, schedule appointments, and preview stylist availability and service prices.
“Nearly 100,000 guests are actively using the app to browse our service offerings, book appointments, and get in touch with our salons more easily,” says Tim Lemieux, HCFB’s Chief Technology Officer. “In the future, we plan to update stylist profiles on the app to denote a stylist’s area of expertise.
