Beauty Industry Group Announces John Costanza as President of hairtalk – News





Beauty Industry Group (BIG) has announced the appointment of John Costanza who will serve as President of hairtalk®, one of BIG’s premier direct-to-salon hair extension brands. John will focus on the continued buildout of the global hairtalk brand, assuming its operations in both Miami, FL and Erlangen, Germany.

Costanza brings over 20 years of beauty industry experience to this new role. His previous ventures include Vice President and General Manager of L’Oréal and Conair Corporation and Group Vice President of Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. Through his extensive background in both distribution and selling directly to salons, Costanza understands a holistic view of the industry that will be vital in continuing to grow the hairtalk brand.

“I am honored to join the hairtalk team and will work hard to fill the big shoes that come before me with Richard Schoonover being a true innovator and pioneer in the world of hair extensions,” said Costanza. “I am also very excited to finally be working with Beauty Industry Group, having renowned credibility not only in the hair extension space but also as a great cultured company led by the CEO Derrick Porter and executive team members like Brandon Hutchins.”

Richard Schoonover, Founder and President of the iconic hairtalk brand, will transition his efforts to building the brand in Germany and Europe. Schoonover has been massively successful in the industry, inventing the stylist-preferred Tape-In extension method and creating and building two international brands – hairtalk and Hotheads.

“John brings a tremendous amount of experience to the hairtalk brand. Through his leadership and strategic vision, hairtalk will continue to establish itself as the premiere worldwide brand of professionally installed hair extensions,” said Schoonover.
